Sofian: Welcome Georgiana and thank you very much for coming. You started Yoga back in 1990 and moved to Sweden in 1997 to open a yoga school there. One day you were inspired to start the “Angel’s Week”, which became a yearly establishment in the schools of the ATMAN Federation. I am very curious about the beginning of this initiative, how was the Angel’s Week born?
Georgiana: At the end of October, Sweden celebrates a holiday called “The day of all Saints”. People go to the cemetery, light a candle, and remember their dear ones. However, the Halloween celebrations became more and more popular and commercial, with demons and witches sold in the shops and hanging in the windows. So my boyfriend and I thought “Well, if they run with demons and witches, let’s do something to counteract these dark resonances and work with angels”. The thought of angels came immediately, and we wanted to do it on a big scale. Not only some meditations in our yoga centre, but a big celebration in the whole city. My boyfriend is a musician and works in the school of arts, so he talked with the director and they organized concerts with, let’s say “angelic music” – very beautiful classical music. Those free concerts were also arranged in public places in the city.
We started to do meditations in our yoga school, but I also went personally to all shops in the city centre and asked if they would not like to put an angel in their display window together with a note “Angel’s Week in Karlskrona”. We also went to churches and asked them if during the Angel’s Week they want to present some of the at least 300 paragraphs about angels in the bible. We went to coffee shops and suggested to bake some biscuits or cookies in angel shape. We also spoke with the elementary schools, to have an angel’s party instead of a Halloween party. Practically, we used all our ideas to involve as many people as possible in the Angel’s Week – and they accepted. It was pleasantly surprising to see how many wanted to join and to celebrate the angels instead of dark forces. After a short while, I presented my idea to colleagues from our yoga school in different countries, and 17 years after we started in 2002 here in Karlskrona, there are now over 30 countries celebrating the Angel’s Week.
Sofian: It is very inspiring, especially as most students know the Angel’s Week only from going to the daily meditations in their yoga centre. I can imagine not many know that it actually started on such a big scale and I am sure other schools will get inspired to go out in town and make bigger things happen.
Georgiana: Yes, I really hope that. After a while we also invited a spiritual theatre group that prepared a beautiful theatre play that was almost like an angel’s walk through the whole city centre of Karlskrona, reaching from the shopping mall along the cinema towards the yoga centre, like a grand procession of angels. They were all dressed in white with angel wings and feathered umbrellas with angelic messages hanging below them. They also kept a theatre play for children and asked them to say the prayer “little angel”. It was absolutely amazing how open kids are to angels.
We also went to the library and asked them kindly if they want to have a corner in their library, actually two corners, one for adults with books about angels and a corner with books about angels for kids – and they also happily joined. In the windows of the library, they presented the paintings that the kids were doing in the school of Arts. And then we also had an exhibition with sculptures, paintings, and other kind of arts in the quite large theatre hall. We are still doing that, after 17 years.
Sofian: That’s so wonderful. Did the first Angel’s Week already have a meditation programme?
Georgiana: Yes, of course. Besides all the things we did in the city, we also had a very rich programme of meditations with different angelic entities, such as the angels of love and the angels of youth, spiral meditations invoking the realm of the angels, or meditations with the guardian angels. We had two, three, even four different meditations with angelic entities every day, for the whole week. After a few years, maybe ten years ago, we started to have a combination of Angel’s and Archangel’s Week.
Sofian: You said in the beginning were four different meditations per day, but now since many years it is two. Did the programme become more condensed?
Georgiana: Some colleagues from other countries wanted to integrate small shows, so we scheduled only two meditations per day with some time in between, making space for descriptions and artistic moments that portray the respective angel or archangel before the meditation.
Sofian: Now for something more personal, what was the most profound experience that you had during an Angel’s Week?
Georgiana: During the first meditation of each Angel’s week, I always feel as if the gates of heaven open and all the angelic entities are coming and filling the yoga hall. During the last meditation of gratitude it then is like if they are going “back home”, so to say. It has a really great impact on me to notice how the angels come to our world, sustaining us, supporting us, giving us inspirations during the Angel’s Week – and then going back to their home.
Sofian: At this occasion let me ask you, how would you describe the angels? How can I imagine them? And when they “go home”, where is their home?
Georgiana: I perceive the angelic entities – I have been feeling and communicating with them since I was a child – as subtle beings with an immense degree of purity. They are very powerful beings of light with an enormous capacity of love and compassion, and they answer very quickly. Their home is the astral universe, which has a much higher level of vibration than our physical, material universe. Even if we do not see or feel them, human beings have a guardian angel, who is helping, inspiring, supporting, and protecting us from our birth until our death. Angels are actually present all the time among us; it is only us lacking the necessary refinement of perception to feel them.
Sofian: Since they are subtle beings, I would also be curious if they are born and die, or if they did exist in eternity.
Georgiana: Angels are directly created by God, so we cannot speak about birth and death the way we experience it in the physical world. There exist feminine and masculine angelic entities and they have couple relationships, but of a much more elevated and beautiful nature than we are able to manage here on earth. The Swedish author Emanuel Swedenborg wrote many books about angelic entities. He had the paranormal ability to travel consciously to the astral universe. He met angelic entities, he assisted in their wedding ceremony, and an angelic couple invited him home to live with them for a certain while.
Sofian: That sounds super romantic.
Georgiana: It is! We can learn a lot from the angels about how to love and treat each other; they have what we could call ideal couple relationships.
Sofian: Which place do the angels have in your daily life? Did you experience little miracles in your daily life?
Georgiana: Yes, I communicate with them daily. I always end my day meditating with the angels and archangels, and I am spending as much time as possible with my guardian angel. I could share a little more spectacular story that happened when I was a student did not have much money. My parents were still supporting me by sending me some money from home, and usually I never had the entire sum in my pocket. At this day for some reason, I had all the money in my wallet, together with my ID card and many other important legitimation cards from different courses. Practically my entire life was in the wallet and someone stole it in the bus. I was a little bit upset with my guardian angel and told her “You were supposed to protect me and you let them steal my wallet! I do not know how you will do it but tomorrow you bring my wallet back. I know that the money will be gone but I need all the ID cards and legitimations”.
On the next day somebody rang the bell at my apartment. I opened and there was this gentleman, very nicely dressed, expensive business suit, business case. He asked if my name was Georgiana Danet. I confirmed and he said “I found your wallet and came to bring it back”. As I supposed, the money was gone but all the ID cards were there. I asked him where or how he found it, and a bit ashamed he told me the story: “I was walking home, which is unusual for me as I am always driving, but it was a beautiful evening and somehow I wanted to walk home. I passed by a garbage container and felt the irresistible urge to crawl under to look for something. There I found your wallet”. After the gentleman left, I started laughing aloud and apologized to my guardian angel and promised her that “I will never shout at you again”. This is one of the stories with my guardian angels and the miraculous effect they have in my life.
Sofian: Indeed it is quite impressive. The wallet can come back in many ways, but the way it came back…
Georgiana: It was not a coincidence, for sure. Many times, I ask her to help me with things in my life and she helps me every time.
Sofian: As a last question, I want to ask you what you can recommend to the participants of the Angel’s Week in order to deepen their connection with the angels.
Georgiana: The first thing I will recommend to everybody is to become friends with your guardian angel. There is a very easy prayer called “Little angel”, that you can use. The same way you spend time with your best friend, you can spend time with your guardian angel. Because he/she is the best friend you can ever have. If you do not want to use that prayer, simply take a few minutes to speak with your guardian angel. You can talk to him/her as if he/she is in front of you. It is helping a lot, in all areas of your life. He/she will never disappoint you. Will never treat you badly, will always love, support, guide and protect you. Really, the best friend you can ever have is your guardian angel.
Sofian: Thank you very much for this angelic interview.
Georgiana: You are very welcome. For everyone to understand that angels are very present, I want to also quickly tell what happened when we started with the Angel’s Week back in 2002. During the Halloween period the national Swedish TV broadcast a lot of horror movies. There are many channels and they were all transmitting horror movies. After only three years, they started broadcasting movies about angels during the same period. I did not contact the national TV channels, but our actions had such a great subtle impact, I was completely amazed. I checked the whole week, and most of the channels were broadcasting movies about angels, no more horror movies. The only thing we did was meditations during Angel’s Week.
